Desert Gems

Desert Gems is one of the first publications that we had designed as a teaching piece. The EGA group here had requested us to design Hardanger that was an indepth study in weaving as opposed to the general Hardanger techniques. This was for those who have already stitched Hardanger and needed more. The piece has 4 border weaving around the outside and on the inside set around the ship, there are 7 individual blocks of different weavings. This piece was originally stitched in Needle Necessities but stitchers had great fun in using their own colors. We have selected a few alternate color combinations.
